Trump Plaza Casino in Atlantic City to Shut Down in Mid-September

trump-plaza-75x7015 July 2014 – According to recent reports, Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino is planning to close its doors on 16 September 2014 if it doesn’t find a buyer. As of this writing, no final decision has been made, but the main people behind Trump Entertainment Resorts believe that the casino will cease to exist in mid-September. Moreover, the Atlantic Club closed in January, the Showboat will shut down by the end of next month and Revel Casino might also close soon if they can’t find a buyer. This decreases the number of casinos in Atlantic City from 12 to 8 and increases the unemployment rate in the Garden State.
