atlantic-city-new-jersey-shoreline-75x75While New Jersey’s Showboat Casino is preparing to close on 31 August 2014, the Atlantic City senator is planning to propose a bill that would put slot machines at four horse racing tracks in the state. The Showboat is one of the three casinos in Atlantic City that are closing its doors in the next weeks. Revel will shut down on September 2, while Trump Plaza is closing on September 16. On the same day of the announcement, Senator Joe Pennacchio also proposed to let voters decide whether the state constitution should be amended in order to put slots at the horse racing tracks and create racinos.
