Revenues in Macau Fall for Third Month in a Row

macau-75x50According to the figures of Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau, the gambling revenues of the Portuguese colony have fell for the third straight month. In August 2014, Macau casinos generated $3.6 billion or 28.9 billion patacas which is down 6.1% from the same period in 2013. The number is worse than the 2% drop analysts had predicted, therefore, many people wonder whether the trend will continue into the next month. It is believed that the drop is mainly due to the cutting of spending of Chinese visitors during the holidays.
